Overview
NEW YORK, NY — Anime NYC returns to the Javits Center from August 21–24, 2025. Expanded to four days, the convention is expected to welcome more than 100,000 attendees, making it one of the largest anime celebrations in the United States. The event showcases the full spectrum of Japanese pop culture, including anime, manga, cosplay, gaming, and music. Anime NYC has also been recognized with the Consul General Award from the Japanese Ambassador.
Highlights include an exhibitor floor, the ever-popular Artist Alley, the dedicated Destination Cosplay area, Play NYC’s gaming showcase, and the Japanese Food Court presented by Dream Asia. Supported by major partners such as Netflix, Lucasfilm, and hololive, Anime NYC continues to welcome fans of every background into a shared space of creativity and celebration.

Participating Partners
Anime NYC partners with leading names in entertainment, including Aniplex, Bandai Namco, Crunchyroll, Lucasfilm, and Netflix. Other participants include GKIDS, HIDIVE, Kodansha, Sony, Studio Trigger, Shueisha, TOHO, VIZ Media, and Yen Press.
Together, these partners deliver a wide-ranging program of panels, premieres, and exclusive showcases. Sessions from Netflix, Aniplex, Bang Zoom! Studios, Studio Trigger, Lucasfilm, and Play NYC developers highlight the latest in anime, gaming, and pop culture.
Guest Lineup and Appearances
Guests of Honor include Hiroyuki Imaishi, Yoko Takahashi, JAM Project, Yuma Uchida, and Kenjiro Tsuda. Celebrated voice actors Abby Trott, Alejandro Saab, Christopher Sabat, Maile Flanagan, and Kaiji Tang will also attend. VTuber icons Mori Calliope, IRyS, Kureiji Ollie, Akai Haato, Natsuiro Matsuri, Momosuzu Nene, and Nerissa Ravencroft join the lineup. They will appear in live performances and fan sessions.
Featured manga creators include Takeu Hokazono (Kaburabachi) and Shu Sakuratani (Rooster Fighter). Fans can look forward to unique creator interactions.
Other notable figures include Derek Kolstad, Jane Wu, Michael Green, James Waugh, Hiromi Wakabayashi, Akira Shimizu, Lexi Nieto, and Jenny Yokobori.
Programming and Activities
Fans will enjoy premieres, screenings, and panels from Netflix, Studio Trigger, Lucasfilm, Aniplex, and TOHO. The Anime Music Video Contest will showcase fan creativity. It also highlights community storytelling through original works.
After-Hours programming includes themed parties, karaoke battles, and late-night screenings. The Movement Room offers Cosplay Yoga. It also features high-energy K-Pop fitness sessions.
The Gaming & Community Hall provides tabletop and video gaming. Play NYC developers will also showcase new projects. Educators and librarians gain a dedicated track. They can attend CTLE-credited panels on integrating manga into education. Artist Alley and the Vendor Market host over 540 creators. Attendees can purchase exclusive art, collectibles, and merchandise.

- JAM Project headlines the One-Punch Man Special Event – The Hero!!
- Ani Mode and the Cosplay Masquerade showcase top cosplay talent and performances.
Sunday, August 24
- Ironmouse and CDawgVA host Let’s Play Starlight Re:Volver.
- Maile Flanagan leads the Become The Hokage panel.
- The Obey Me! Virtual Concert – Dawn’s Embrace closes the convention with an immersive performance.
Cosplay and Fashion Highlights
Destination Cosplay offers a dedicated space that celebrates fan creativity and community through cosplay. Ani Mode debuts as a curated runway, showcasing artistry, craftsmanship, and bold design. The Cosplay Masquerade follows, hosted by Stella Chuu with voice support from Jenny Yokobori. Judges include Hoku Props, Plexi Cosplay, and Raisin Cosplay. DJ Taylor Senpai provides music, while the Baby Bottle Boys perform at halftime. The Best in Show trophy, designed by Hoku Props, crowns the evening’s top performance.
Ticketing and Access
