NEW YORK, NY — Pro Recco, the most decorated team in water polo history, made waves in the United States. From August 28 to September 8, the Pro Recco 2025 World Tour brought top-tier competition to New York City and Princeton, while giving the club an early test ahead of the 2025–2026 season.

In New York, fans packed two sold-out arenas for high-energy matches, while viewers around the world tuned in via live stream at www.overnght.com. In Princeton, the Invitational opened its doors with free admission, giving families and students a rare chance to see world-class water polo up close. Founded in 1913, Pro Recco stands as the most successful club in water polo history. Over the decades, the team has built an unmatched record:

The 2025 U.S. Tour

The U.S. tour featured four matches in New York City and Princeton. Pro Recco faced FTC-Telekom, UCLA, and Princeton.

New York City hosted matches at Asphalt Green on September 3 and 4.

  • September 3 at 6:00 PM: Pro Recco vs. NCAA champions UCLA.
  • September 3 at 7:30 PM: Princeton vs. FTC-Telekom.
  • September 4 at 7:30 PM: Pro Recco vs. FTC-Telekom.

The Princeton Invitational followed on September 6 and 7 at Denunzio Pool.

Training Opportunities

On August 31, Pro Recco and coach Sandro Sukno hosted a clinic at Princeton’s Denunzio Pool with Princeton Tigers Water Polo Club.
